Dr. Michaelia Verbeek is a General Practitioner with a special interest in preventative and lifestyle medicine. After completing her medical training in Australia, she spent time working in the UK and NZ in Emergency Medicine and General Practice. She is passionate about individualising medicine with a strong focus on lifestyle interventions such as diet, exercise, sleep and stress management to ensure her patients and their families achieve and maintain optimal health and wellness.
Dr. Michaelia’s interest in nutrition began over a decade ago and has included professional training in ketogenic and low carbohydrate diets and functional medicine. She is committed to lifelong learning in order to provide her patients with the best possible care and is currently completing further training in nutritional and environmental evidence-based medicine.
Dr. Michaelia understands that a holistic view of health requires a multi-disciplinary approach. She enjoys working closely with other health professionals such as dieticians, psychologists and naturopaths to create a personalised health management plan for her patients. She has a compassionate, kind and thorough approach with all her patients and will ensure you leave feeling listened to and understood.
